    I need to protest. Bavaria is not "quintessential" germany. It's quintessential Austria! At least that's what the rest of germany think's, where bavaria should go. It's just what americans usually know about germany because of their army bases being stationed mostly in bavaria and southern germany. It's like germans saying Texas being quintessential american and all americans are wearing cowboy hats.

    I visite Bad Tôlz several years ago and was blown away by it . I even took in the street signs so when we missed the last train from Munich after the Oktoberfest we too a cab and I knew exactly where our our hotel was .Great country and hopefully one day I would love to get back for Christmas. I bet it's great that time of year as well . Greetings from a "New Yawkah"
